Paul Washer preaches much truth, but he preaches what is called “Lordship Salvation,” or “holiness”. People need to accept Christ as savior, then begin the task of cleaning up their lives. Not the other way around.

I think that we need to make Jesus Lord of our lives. He purchased us, we belong to Him.
Here are two items in my statement of faith.
9. I believe that to receive eternal life one needs to believe that Jesus Christ bore our sins on the cross and that He was resurrected. This personal belief gives us fellowship with God through the Holy Spirit.
10. I believe that the Holy Spirit indwells all who receive Jesus as Lord and Savior, committing his life to Him resulting in a transformed life.
I believe I may have been saved as a young girl by believing, but I grew up and backslid horribly. It was not until I truly committed my life to the Lord that I truly changed and began hating my sin.
