What is the Third Eye and why should Christians know about it.
First let’s look at Wikipedia:
The 3rd or Inner Eye – A metaphysical opening which refers to the 6th chakra (brow), that leads to higher consciousness. A new age symbol of enlightenment.
Okay… so the Third Eye is a psychic ability connected to the occult. Dictionary.com defines occult as knowledge of secret or supernatural powers, beyond the the range of ordinary senses, or secret/hidden information only available to the initiated.
Next we need to know how one “opens” this Third Eye. The main way that one opens himself up to the spirit realm, is through meditation. It is through meditation that one achieves an altered state of consciousness. Constantly you will find that meditation, or the emptying of one’s mind, is the doorway to all metaphysical activity.
Back to the 6th chakra. The chakras usually relate to yoga, but not always. The 6th chakra in yoga is the brow. When kundalini (serpent power) rises to the the brow, there is enlightenment that is characterized by light. Those using yoga as a means of enlightenment get results by meditation, forced breathing patterns and using unnatural positions to force the power at the base of the spine upwards with the crown chakra as the main goal.
Another way enlightenment occurs is through meditation and visualization. Certain techniques are used to “see” and direct the serpent power up the spine through the chakras (nerve centers/wheels).
Here is another description. The kundalini rises and then goes into the brain and then down into the pituitary gland which awakens the pineal gland. When they meet there is union. This is an initiation of the birth of passage into another dimension and beyond. This is supposed to cause an explosion of light.
The third eye is also known as:
The middle eye of Shiva in Buddhism.
In Hinduism it is the eye of clairvoyance. This Hindus wear the Tilak. The red spot between the brows. When I was researching my Goddess Worship post, I looked at a link, describing Christian women who have been applying the red spot on their forehead and worshiping each other’s divinity.
In Egypt it is known as The Eye of Horus or the Eye of Osiris.
In Freemasonry, it is the All Seeing Eye. The same one that is found on our one dollar bill. This All Seeing Eye is surrounded by light.
But the eye usually means the same…esoteric knowledge that man so desires. This eye represents the passing into a spiritual world than man has no business entering. It is forbidden because it will deceive and oppress.
In Genesis 3:5-7 For God doth know..then your eyes shall be opened and ye shall be as Gods…knowing Good and Evil….And the eyes of them both opened.
The Hebrew word for eyes is not plural but singular so what the serpent said was that their eye would be broadened by knowledge. Scripture here is not talking about the physical organ but the eye of the soul.
So for today…opening yourself up or opening your third eye is the same. It is opening a gate between two worlds. Meditation is a sure way of accomplishing this opening up of yourself especially through Contemplative prayer. This is simply meditation masked with Christian terminology. The fear that accompanies entrance into deep meditative levels is there for a reason…it is a warning from God.
I have been reading a manual for opening the third eye from, “The Awakening of the Third Eye” by Samuel Sagan.
It immediately states that meditation is not for relaxation, and that the third eye is the gate that leads within.
Here are some quotes:
“Developing the third eye is a direct way of expanding your conscious universe and discovering your essential values, so that you may fathom your own mystery.” (page 13)
“Suppose an angel comes to you, truly. If you have been trying to visualize angels every morning for a few months how will you know whether it is a true angel or one that you made up…The real problem is, once these visions come to you, how to discern what is real from what is a fancy of the mind” [page 18]
[I thought this was very interesting..he was acknowledging that visualization created visions from your own making]
“You see the universe and it’s finality completely different…It is not what you believe or what you have read that will change your spiritual life..it is what you can experience directly.” [page 18]
[See how a change of worldview is suggested here and the Bible eliminated]
“Whenever there is a vibration or a light, there is a being behind it” (page 160)
[The Bible tells us that Satan comes as a white light]
“What to do with an angel? Let its glory become alive in you…to worship a god first you have to become a god.” (page 161)
[How many times have we seen this? Almost all communications from the spirit world tell us that we are as gods, just like the serpent in Genesis]
“This tragedy is quite common. There are many people who seem to be desperate for spiritual progress. They go on crying ‘I wish God could help me’…and if you look above them, what can you see? Guides and angels who keep whispering ‘Please tune into us, please receive our light‘…If these people could tune in, they would immediately receive a shower of spiritual gifts.” (page 185)
[Light? We already know what the “light” is in the metaphysical world. It is Satan. And this shower of spiritual gifts?..hmmm..]
2 Corinthians 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
Have you ever read the prophecies of those on the Elijah list? Have you ever had someone tell you that they have a continual conversation with God throughout the day? Have you listened to those who proclaim to the world that their visions are from God? Have you ever heard a prophet say that he could forgive your sins for you? Have you ever heard a TV evangelist say that “I am a God”? Have you ever attended a meeting where the “spiritual” gifts are so numerous that chaos erupts?
I do believe that spiritual gifts are available to us today for the edification of the church…I also believe that many are the products of divination, and are false. We have to discern what is God’s truth and what is man’s truth. The Bible is the deciding factor.
Is it possible that some Christians and some who claim to be Christian have opened themselves up to demonic forces and truly believe they are hearing from God, but are not? YES! That spirit guides and angels you have summoned from another metaphysical realm are holy? NO! They are not holy.
In a world that is giving way to a New Age, a new spiritual mysticism, we have to, as Christians, discern what is from God and what is not. We are to test the spirits.
I John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
I beg of you..do not practice anything that is at all similar to eastern meditation. Meditation is the common factor to all metaphysical and ungodly methods. If you have ….stop and repent…..ask God’s forgiveness.
The goal of the New Age is to unite all religions. Hold strong onto your faith in Jesus Christ. I know many reject this but…. He is indeed THE ONLY WAY.
John 14:6 “I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
Also remember that Satan is a great counterfeiter and deceiver. He imitates the things of Christ. Satan is not the light. The Lord Jesus Christ is.
So this verse bears repeating.
2 Corinthians 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light .
Pray daily that the Lord will give you discernment in these last days of great deception. Discern the light of the world, Jesus, from the counterfeit light of Satan’s enlightment. Many caught up in this spiritual deception and false system are experiencing the darkest time in their lives. Depression, anxiety, panic attacks seem to be common factors among those who have crossed over into this forbidden world. Those dark spirits who follow you do so because you invited them.
Jesus Christ demonstrated His power over the demonic world. Only He can cast out those dark spirits. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ who triumphed over Satan and sin on the cross. He rose again. He is our Savior and will cleanse us from sin and fill us with the Holy Spirit. Faith is trust. Trust in Him.

I was able to lead another young Polish girl to Christ and another older Scots gentlemen to Christ at different times. Even though I was with them face to face, and explained that it was a personal relationship with God and not just religion they were signing up to, not like signing up to a political idelogy or a club, they were both still shocked when something supernatural, something real, happened to them as a result…..as was I in Scotland when I accepted Jesus into my life in the 1980s as I thought it would be just a change like joining a club. I felt the tangible presense of God in the room, and heat and warmth and peace. I no longer felt lonely – all my life I had felt lonely and alone. (Not everyone feels these sensations – people experience God in various ways, and you should not rely on experiences for themselves, but they do happen.)
The Scots guy was a Church of Scotland attender for about seventy years (he was old!) before he was born again. He prayed the prayer like above, and then gripped my hand real tight, and said with amazement and astonishment, ‘I feel warm all over…’ He felt loved, as the Spirit of Christ flooded his life, and He felt God’s love and forgiveness.
The young Polish girl wrote me later and said, ‘All my life I had looked for love and acceptance, now I have found it in MY Jesus.’ She’d been brought up a Roman Catholic but never heard the gospel. Now she not only knew the gospel, but she personally knew the one the gospel was about and her life was revolutionised. She was no longer insecure, searching…
God is a supernatural God, if you leave behind the occult you do not lose supernatural power – rather you gain it in Christ. I was miraculously healed after a car crash for example….
I could go on much longer, but that will do for now.

Louise, I just came on Kim’s blog and caught up on what has been going on. I must tell you from my experience over 24 years in Spiritual Warfare that they are evil spirits that are in your home. Access is often gained by former tenants descrating the ground with witchcraft or other occultic rituals.
I have been called to many homes to have what we call a cleansing. Demons cannot inhabit a home that is dedicated as Holy Ground for the service of our Lord Jesus Christ. That is where becoming a born again Christian gives you access to the Throne room of God. He will dispatch holy angels to protect and guard you.
Those of us on this site can pray for the power of the blood of Christ to be set against these spirits and for the mighty angels of God to be with you where ever you go if you truely committ your life to Christ.
If you like I can copy and paste a prayer for you to read in your home. But you must be born again. Satan will not like the fact that you are leaving your kingdom so all of us must pray for your protection.
Psalm 91 is a great prayer to read out aloud in your home. Verse 11 is the promise of gardian angels having charge over you. I will be praying for you. May you find the peace and love of Christ in your life.

I have been talking to a friend about anti-depressants and how they can open up the mind, which i now believe to be very true. When i go to the supermarket and see people all lined up for their drugs..i can see the drugging of America and its effect.
I should know..i was one of them. I am currently weaning myself off of Celexa (5 mg), and hormones.
ps.. watch out…i may be grumpy for awhile.

Please be careful with the Rx. I ended up in the ER after about a year of being off my blood pressure medicine and close to a stroke after I was told about pharmakeia being witchcraft. I was but back on meds and know I will be healed one day.

yes, mind altering drugs-
I nearly burned our apartment down a few years ago when I took a low dose anti depressant to help me sleep. I fell asleep with a centerpiece candle burning which melted, and caught the centerpiece and table on fire. I couldn’t even hear the fire alarm which was just a few feet above my head. Thankfully, my husband woke up in time.

Doctors seem to be handing out Prozac and other selective serotonin reuptake inhibitorsr like candy.
It was in the news not long ago that they are finding Prozac along with allot different drugs in the drinking water!!!!! It also seems to me the guy who murdered all those students at Columbine was taking something like Prozac. People seem to be doing some crazy stuff on these drugs and seen almost daily in the news.
It sure does make me wonder if they are getting spiritual manifestations or hearing voices.

I am frm Nepal, I am hindu. My primary school was Protestant school. My higher secondary school was Catholic. My neighbour is Muslim (he is butcher and does all HALAL, we dont have problem with it..even though it sometimes gives me quirks..however it has never managed to gone past that). Buddha was born in Nepal. Recently I am friends with a “Jehova’s witness” follower.
This religion thing has always been so surprising to me, so fascinating. Why are the Churches so affulent….so big….so magnificient….so rich…while the christian world is in poverty. Why is there clashes among God? Do we have Free Will? If yes, why there is Heaven and Hell? Why nothing cant go without God’s wish? Why does every religion describe living beings as Gods creation??? Are we God’s cultivation? Are there Devil…demons??? Who created them? Were they born together with God just like Day-Nite, Good-Evil, Water-Fire, Hot-Cold? If yes, arent God and Demon brothers…brothers-in-arm…… should not they be living in harmony and peace. There was never peace from the very initiation. The whole creation was invention of disturbance?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Thank you for taking the time to comment…..You have many questions and i will only address a few.
You are right…many churches are affluent, but people forget that those who are filled with the Holy Spirit are the true church of Christ. Many Christians are having problems finding churches the preach the Holy Bible, the gospel of Jesus Christ and so they continue to search. Some are creating home churches which is very biblical.
Christians believe that Jesus Christ of Nazareth was born of a virgin, so He came in the flesh as man, was crucified even though He himself was sinless, took our sins upon Him, so that we can have eternal life if we repent of our sin and follow Him.
This would exclude the Jehovah Witnesses who do not believe in the trinity, that Jesus was God’s son and that He rose from the dead. These beleifs are central to the Christian faith and walk.
God is sovereign, He created all and is in charge. When God created angels, Lucifer rebelled. Because of pride he wanted to be as God or above God. The angels that also rebelled were thrown to earth with Satan. So Satan is the prince of this world, and his angels are the demons.
They had free will to worship God but they did not. Adam and Eve had free will to be in obedience, but they sinned and this was the fall of man. We also have the same choice to worship Jesus Christ or to reject Him. This rejection is why there is no harmony and peace on earth today. Man is rejecting the gift that God sent for our salvation.
There is only one way to salvation eternal life.
John 14:6
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
Who is Jesus? Jesus is the eternal second Person of the Trinity, the Son, who became man, and who fulfilled the prophecies of the Old Testament,
What is the Gospel? The gospel is the promise of eternal life to us as we walk in faith of His sacrifice for us.
Jesus paid the price for my sin and your sin. What a gift this is. But we must accept and believe this truth. Repent of Sin and follow Jesus in obedience. We cannot save ourselves…this is the ultimate pride, which dooms many.

Hey there, My name is Michael Shell and I have attended church since I was very young. I have attended a christian performing arts school to learn to play the guitar and have a strong faith. I have awakened my third eye and I have first hand knowledge of this ‘evil.’ My philosophy on the issue is if a blind man is standing before a chair and cannot see this chair it still exists. Awareness is not evil. In the day of Pentecost when everyone beheld the tongues of fire on the head of the believers or in ancient times seers saw a ‘halo’ around saints’ heads this was the perception of the aura. It frustrates me as much as a blind person arguing against a beautiful sunset or a rainbow, seeing auras and the spiritual realm should be a witness of a creator so ‘everyone is without excuse.’ This also serves to be a witness to an individual so one doesn’t need to listen to the perspective of a priest or pastor. Although I also see how that might diminish church numbers and income though 😛

Jesus was a healer, he was psychic and channeled energy to heal the sick. Yes, there has been much evil done in the name of Christianity. But these have been false Christians. There are huge problems in the Catholic Church no doubt….many believe it is because they stray from the teachings of the Bible.
I too have studied about other religions…i rebelled when i was a teenager, some….ahem….40 years ago….But i came back to the Lord Jesus Christ. One doesn’t have to participate in the many rites that are used in the church. Jesus only asked us to be baptised and to take communion.
The other religions do not address sin or give us a way to be forgiven. We are all sinners are imperfect human beings. God sent his son Jesus to the earth to be crucified, He was hung on a cross even though He never sinned. He paid your penalty and my penalty for our sins.
Reincarnation was never in the Bible. The Bible states that man is destined to live once, die and then be judged. This excludes reincarnation.
The Bible is a reliable document. There is much information out there about the Bibliographical test for its reliability. No other ancient document comes close to being authenticated as the Bible. People accept the Iliad but it only has meager supporting documents to its original text. There are over 24,000 manuscript copies of portions of the New Testament in existence today. The book “Evidence that Demands a Verdict” is a huge help to those who doubt scripture.

I hope you are all well and that your faith is still as strong as ever despite what “Silvs” thinks, which brings me to say that although everyone is entitled to their own opinion, I believe in the phrase that “If you have nothing nice to say then say nothing at all” …no offence of course
I am actually waiting on my dad (who im not in a good modd with and cant ask right now) to get my old bible out of the attic so there is a slight delay in that one but we’re working on it. I have to be careful, the internet is so dangerous that my parents aren’t actually aware that I am using this site, it took enough convincing for my dad not to restrict my internet access which regretably would not allow me on this site but again it’s a working progress:D
Since it was my last day of school for summer I am going to settle down with a good movie and a hot drink.

Hi, My name is Lesley…obviously. I think you are familiar with my friend, Louise, she referred me to this site when I asked her for help yesterday and I’m using her email because mine doesnt work. She said you really helped her and you might be able to help me so here I go;
Just before christmas, I was with a friend who wanted to try and call some spirit or something to me but in doing so she did something else as well, I’m not sure what but I could see things that others couldn’t. For example, an old man standing in her garden by a tree that had been gone for years. She told me this was bad and that I the best thing for me would be if I simply ignored them. I did but for a few weeks I had nightmares, mainly, one about a woman surrounded by flames. this stopped around mid January and everything went back to normal. However, on saturday I was out with a friend and I saw the same old man accompanied by two children (a boy and a girl) and the woman from my dreams. Everywhere I looked the woman followed me. I discovered that the place I had gone was where one of the last witch burnings took place but for some reason I felt like I knew this. I can still see her and other people whom I have never met inside my head and I’m having really bad nightmares. I really want it to stop, it’s scaring me so much!
You are my last hope for help, no one else believes me. I am a christian but I’m not a firm believer. I only attend mass when I really have to and have many doubts about Christ as the only evidence is in the bible which constantly contradicts itself.
If any of you can possibly help me I would be so grateful!

I am so glad you took the time to write here. The Lord Jesus Christ has led you here along with your friend Louise who we love very much.
I think you know that you have dabbled into the occult world and how dangerous this is. If you have read the above comments Brett gives good advice about giving this up completely.
Confess this sin to Jesus and He will clean you. He will forgive you. But you must stop all activity that brought this situation on. Get rid of all occult books, charms, etc. ALL OF THEM. Burn them. The demons hate this. It shows that you have made up your mind that they have no power over you.
You might say a prayer like this:
Heavenly Father, I rejoice in the truth of your Word. Let this truth enter my spirit and control my mind. I will apply your truth powerfully and at all times and will depend on its power to defeat my enemies. I pray this in the name of my Lord Jesus Christ. Amen
But it is Jesus who has authority over the spirits that are bothering you. His words make the demons shudder and it was scripture that Jesus used when He was tempted.
So the Word of God is a powerful weapon for you and all of us to use. You are going to have to be persistant. I will give you some verses and i would like you to write them down on 3×5 cards or smaller. Something you can keep in a purse or pocket.
1 John 4:4
You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.
James 4:7
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Start with these two verses. Also read and have handy the passage in Ephesians 6:11-18
which starts with
Eph 6:11 Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.
As a child of God you have the Holy Spirit…And i want you to know that when Jesus died on the cross, Satan and demons, became defeated foes. The spirits do not want you to know this. They have already been conquered. Cling to the cross of Jesus and His shed blood for you.
I want you to start to walk in faith that Jesus will hear you. Begin to walk in this confidence. Things will not change overnight so be prepared to battle. This is a battle for your mind. Fill your mind with thoughts of Jesus.
I want you to know that the Bible is the God-breathed Word of God. Many like to contest the Bible because they do not want to give their current life-style, or maybe they like their sin. There are many reasons. But….
The Bible has been the most tested ancient manuscript of all time. The bibliographical test to the New Testament assures us that it has more authority than any other piece of literature…we can conclude that an authentic NT has been established. There is alot of information out there about the history of the Bible. So you may want to look into this information. But it is Satan that is putting these doubts into your mind and you need to reject these thoughts.
I want you to know that the Lord Jesus Christ will set you free. Please start by prayer, and the above verses. Trust that God knows you are seeking Him.
You do need to ignore what you are seeing. Put no stock into their existance, they are illusions from the enemy. When you are attacked by the enemy read your verses from the Bible. That is why memorization of scripture is so very important.
I will be praying for you….write as often as needed with questions. You need a Bible to read. Do you have one? Would you please go and write down those verses right now?

As a non believer I heard this in a sermon which I found really helpful. Maybe it wll help you:
If you are having a difficult time believing in the Lord than ask the Lord to help you to want to believe. And if you have a hard time believing you can do that in faith than ask the Lord to help you to want to want believe in Him. And if you have a hard time asking that, than ask the Lord to help you to want to want to want to believe in Him and so forth.
I know that might sound silly but He gives us the faith to believe in Him.
Faith comes by hearing the word of God. Read his word and ask Him to strengthen your faith in Him.
He is faithful and He knows we have doubts. We have all been in your shoes at some point wondering if He is there and wondering if He is real.

Off the subject a bit here. Do Christian’s auras look different from others who aren’t born again? I have wondered this since I was in chiro school. There were new agers who used to react very strangely to me. I never knew what the reaction was about whether it was a spiritual feeling thing or they could see an aura that looked different.

If you are a person full of joy, love and happiness within and to others you will have a glowing beautifull aura. People who are negative, judgemental and who are full of hate like Kim and Mary tend to have dark shadows in there aura. In ancient chinese medicine for example universial energy flows down the body through the chakras and meridians. Scientists have also confirmed this. The energy becomes blocked from negative emotional, mental & spiritual issues. This then forms disease because energy doesn’t reach the organs. Using accupunture, chiro, physio, reiki, crystal & colour therapy, or anytime of therapy that associates with the chakras, will help to clear the aura. However affirmations of love are also important. You see Jesus was a being who was enlighted who saw everything as energy like buddah. He was so good at healing because he had unconditional love running through him. He didn’t judge he didn’t hate and he respected everyone no matter what belief and no matter what they did. You see people like Kim & Mary are people who are deranged and only care about converting people than actually expressing what jesus was really all about. They don’t add posts that show that people with their third eyes open have done good. They don’t like to admit to the truth. Your an embarassment to Jesus and the christian faith. I was brought up a Catholic, have read the Bible and among other religions, there all trying to achieve one thing, pretty much all the same to me. I’m sorry but I don’t have evil spirits around me they are good, on the other hand i have experienced evil spirits, but you see my third eye opened just like that and I can never close it. I see things that people can’t see and I use it for good. I have helped a lot of people and worked with doctors in confirming diagnosis.

I’ll tell you another thing, my frind who is a male psychic but doesn’t use it, he sees very weel and plays in a band. He would watch the negative entities (bad spirits) what ever you want to call it jump around the room and attach themselves to vunerable and negative people. Thats why I stay away from clubs. Its is really a devils playground. Just a tip for you guys. Also being around negative people can drain your aura. People who are on drugs usually have entities attached to them. I can see this and use a few tools to remove them. They feel better and with a little councelling and support there off drugs. So don’t judge.

First, I’d like to say I am sorry that your understanding of Chrstianity is based on catholicism. I was raised catholic too but departed from it when God began to convict me that the 66 books of the Bible were His authoritative word. I came to understand that salvation (apart from good works) was offerred for anyone who would repent from their sins and place their trust in Jesus Christ to redeem them.
Secondly, Jesus Himslef said “Unless a man be born again, He can not see the Kingdom of God”. Also He said that the broad was the road to destruction and many were those who would take it but narrow was the road to enternal life and few would be thalked much about those who would find it.
Jesus said alot of things thatwere indeed difficult to hear. They do sound negative. He talked alot about Hell. But the good news is He made a way for all how would surrender to His Lordship.
If that sounds hateful to you than I can only hope you understand it’s because you have issues with the Lord. Scripture tells us not to commune with the spirit world. If you feel judged it’s not a human that’s doing it to you but God Himself. Better to feel judged now and do something about it rather than wait when it’s too late to repent.

In the old testiment, the sacrifice of an animal was required for atonement for sin. Jesus was the Lamb of God, the perfect sacrifice one and for all for the sins of you and me and the rest of the world.
Please find a Bible and begin reading it with an open mind. I don’t say that as someone who thinks she is better than you. On the contrary. We, (Kim, me et all here) are beggars trying to show another beggar where to find bread.

The Catholics also use the Apocrypha, which are books not included in the Jewish Canon. Mary knows more about that than i, as i have always been in the Protestant/Evangelical churches.
I am curious what tools do you use to remove the entities? When we believe and put our trust in Jesus the entities no longer have any control over us unless we listen to them.

Sarah: I would just some up the teachings of catholicism and most if not all religions of the world like an ancient scale with our good works on one side and our evil deeds on the other side. How many good works does God require in order to out weight the bad works? How many good works do we need to tip the scale in our favor to get us in heaven?
That idea is totally unbiblical and contrary to what the Bible teaches.
