“How to Know (For Sure!) That You Are Part of The Great Falling Away” by Steven Kozar
Remember,God wants you to Dream Big! He wants you to Be Great! So, of course He wants you to be a big part of The Great Falling Away! Isn’t it exciting to think that something incredible is right around the corner-and you get to be a big part of it?! Chances are you’re already clueless and headed towards destruction, but just to make sure, follow these simple guidelines:
First and foremost, skip past the clear teachings of Jesus and the Apostles in the Bible- it’s full of warnings to keep you from falling away, so, as much as possible, don’t even read it. This won’t be a problem for most Christians, since they haven’t been reading their Bibles all along. There are lots of options to fill your time while you avoid reading God’s Word. For example, you can watch “Christian” television as much as you want, because you’ll probably never hear God’s Word taught correctly anyway. Or you may want to go to your neighborhood “Christian” bookstore-it’s shelves are full of unbiblical books that will keep you in the dark about the apostasy that surrounds you. If you’re like most Christians, none of this will be a problem because you’ve been filling your mind with pagan television, movies, magazines and every other form of mind-numbing entertainment for most of your life already. And don’t forget, on Sunday mornings you’ll want to stay dumbed-down by overly-emotional, shallow and “seeker-friendly” motivational speeches disguised as sermons; that way you’ll be in full conformity to the coming doom.
On top of that, it really helps if you don’t even believe there will be a Great Falling Away, because after all, who wants to focus on all that negative stuff anyway?
SPEAK UNTO US SMOOTH THINGS
Friday Church News Notes, June 5, 2015
Source: Way of Life Literature, David Cloud
“Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits: Get you out of the way, turn aside out of the path, cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us” (Isaiah 30:10-11).
In Isaiah’s day, Israel rejected God’s Word and tried to corrupt the prophets. The people professed to love God and they participated in the temple rituals, but they despised God’s holy laws. They wanted to live as they pleased. They wanted preaching, but not right preaching. They didn’t want to hear reproof of sin and sound doctrine. They wanted to hear “smooth things” that encouraged them regardless of how they lived and that did not interfere with their plans. They wanted God, but not “the Holy One.” They would rather hear “deceits” than the truth. Israel has continued in this terrible condition until today.
She rejected the greatest Prophet and Preacher, Jesus, her own Messiah. The Isaiah 30 passage is also an apt description of apostate Christianity as Paul prophesied in 2 Timothy 4:3-4. They profess to love Christ and the Bible, but in reality they love their own lusts.
They flock to hear teachers who downplay repentance and conversion and holy living, who preach smooth things and invent fables such as gibberish tongues, spirit slaying, laughing revivals, non-judgmentalism, self-esteemism, positive confession, the veneration of Mary, contemplative prayer, rock & roll worship, theistic evolution, ecumenism, non-essential doctrine, and universalism.
“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables” (2 Timothy 4:3-4).
These people are listening to demonic spirits.
These Dominionists are becoming mainstream. How can the Lord’s Prayer be so easily hijacked? People who do not read their Bibles are falling for such nonsense, often under the disguise of patriotism.
This is very true. Please read and pray.

I was having a very interesting discussion the other day with someone who has been wrestling between the desires of this world and the call to follow Christ. After discussing it for some time I finally stated to the person, “so you want the glory of Heaven and the promises of Jesus, but you don’t want to follow Him now if it costs you anything.” They agreed (at least they were honest) and I have been pondering it ever since. It was one of those “lightbulb” moments where some mystery suddenly became very clear.
“Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.” ~Matthew 16:24
At this point we may suddenly look to those who do not even claim to follow Jesus, but that is not who I have in mind. We know there are huge…

Commentary by Jack Kelley
For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now holds it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way (2 Thes 2:7).
The number of emails I receive from people who are discouraged, frustrated, even despondent, is steadily increasing. They point to current conditions in the world and wonder how much worse things can get.
You no longer have to be an astute observer to notice how rapidly our world is changing. It wasn’t that long ago when the standard measure was a comparison between what was acceptable to people in their time with what was acceptable in their grandparents’ time. Now we only have to compare what’s currently acceptable with what was acceptable just a few years ago to see measurable change. Not only are things changing, but the rate of change is accelerating.
A person with discernment can’t help but see a supernatural component in all this. It’s true that the heart of man is incurably wicked (Jeremiah 17:9) but these days society seems to be under a compulsion to see just how wicked they can become. All around us we see God’s Laws being conspicuously broken, His word being stifled, and His people, both Jewish and Christian, being persecuted. It’s like it doesn’t matter how twisted something is, as long as it’s a slap in God’s face, it’s bound to catch on.
This obviously couldn’t be happening without man’s active participation, but I’m becoming convinced there’s more to it than a natural progression of things. I think there’s growing evidence of a malevolent power accelerating this and to me that means the time during which the restrainer holds back the secret power of lawlessness (2 Thes. 2:7) is rapidly drawing to a close.

Thy Word Alone is Truth: Examining All Things in the Refining Furnace of Scripture
The Way of the World…And the Way of God
“But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things – and the things that are not to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him.” 1 Corinthians 1: 27-29
No scripture quite annihilates the patterns of this world – and sadly modern Christianity – as powerfully and as comprehensively as 1 Corinthians 1:17 – 2:5. In that passage, which I will quote in full below, Paul expounds, in clear and incisive language, on how exactly God chose and…
