WHOA, Paul Washer tells it like it is…..
In this one Paul Washer asks “How much has being a Christian cost you?” and tells us to “set aside our little temporal causes.”
Jesus Christ is Everything
I will watch this over and over again.

I do not ask or want donations for this blog. God supplies all I need to share His Word and His Way of Salvation. Revelation 21:6 says, “..I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. “

I agree with this preacher. Many people are playing church, following new age principles and calling it Christianity (i.e. Joel Osteen), or trying to become rich through prosperity preaching. I believe in tithing, but if you are doing it to get rich, then your heart isn’t right. You should be giving, so that God is glorified. God wants us to win souls, but I hardly see anyone going around in America doing that. If they are, then they are the Jehovah’s Witnesses, who don’t even have the gospel or believe in the diety of Jesus. I have been tried to find a church that preached the gospel and the Word, but haven’t found anything except for churches putting on concerts and giving the milk. The closest thing I found was a Pentecostal Apostolic church, but they were so legalistic and judgemental of me for wearing pants and having short hair as a woman, that I couldn’t feel comfortable with the pharasee spirit that was there. One thing I know, is that you can’t judge a book by it’s cover, so they need to get over that stuff because they are keeping people out of the kingdom by doing that and are harming the cause of Christ who came to save the sinners and not the righteous as He himself said. It is by grace, but we must examine ourselves of the faith. The only reason I know I am saved is because of my continued deliverance from sin (sanctification) and agreement with God about sin. I hate it because of what it did to His son and I hate what sin and satan has done to the human race. I just want my heart right and know that I am not there yet.

One more thing you can lookup is Joel Osteen’s interview on Larry King Live. He did such harm to the gospel, that he had to post an apology on his ministries website. He denied that Jesus is the only way and even much to the surprise of Larry King ! He even said that he didn’t want to judge the Muslims if they were lost or not. How can someone who has the largest church in America not even know basic truth about what Jesus Himself said? He said that I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life and that nobody comes to the Father but by Him? It also says in the Word to watch out when all men speak well of you. Didn’t Jesus say that the true believers would be persecuted for their faith? Didn’t it also say that some would rise up in later times preaching a different gospel? How did we go from marytys who would die for the faith to preaching that we are going to be rich from following Jesus? Read 1 Timothy 6 which says men of corrupt mind who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial wealth. Timothy is talking about teachers and pastors ! My sister who is a big time new age believer loves Joel Osteen. If he preached the Word, she might acutally get saved, but people like her love the guy because it fits into the god of self mind set that is the backbone of the new age with a bit of God mixed in to make people feel good. I am not saying that as a Christian, you can’t be blessed, but we need to watch out for the wolves in sheeps clothing. Don’t think that satan can’t prosper people who are of this world because he can. I have seen it numerous times, especially in Hollywood, where the lies about this life are perpetuated- the god of self. The glory of man and the pride of life. It is the first lie that was told in the garden to Adam and Eve that got us into this mess in the first place and people are still chasing it to their destruction! Peopel need to wake up ! I pray for Joel Osteen that he starts preaching the Word of God and what the real reason Jesus died for- to save sinners and make attonement for our guilt !

While I agree with the content of the first video, I must say that I don’t care for his display of anger. Yes, I do believe in righteous anger; but, I believe he is losing some of his potential audience by his manner. I think the delivery would’ve been better if Washer traded the anger (beating his fist on the podium and raising his voice) for a broken heart of compassion. But, maybe it’s just me.
The 2nd video is much better.

I think it is a wake up call and somebody needs to do it. I am glad that God has raised up a mighty man who isn’t afraid to call something as he sees it. If you truly love Jesus, then you will love souls and will not want what He did on the cross to have been done in vain. If you don’t care, then you need to examine your own faith and if you are saved. The Christian faith is about Jesus. It isn’t about us as so many preachers have made it into. It is about what was the purpose of His death and how we respond to and do we care about the true message of it. This is why the church in America is ineffective and playing church. Where is the zeal and fire that was in the church of Acts? What happened between then and now? We need to wake up and pray for a revelation of the Truth to hit us. We need to look at our hearts and repent. Do we love God above anything else in this world including our spouse, activities, house, car, materila possessions, food or whatever? We should especially, since we will stand alone before God without our spouse and there are no U-hauls that take our stuff to heaven. I am not perfect, but I know God is working on me because I want to be an overcomer and I was the laziest person before God got a hold of me. I don’t want to come to God empty handed, but hear well done good and faithful servant. Do you? Examine your faith and rend your heart . Even Jesus got mad at the people turning his temple into a den of theives. Isn’t that going on in some of the churches of today? I don’t know which ones that is happening in, but God does and He is the righteous judge of all.

I don’t mind the display by Paul Washer, especially when you compare it to the milk-toast message of the WOF preaching. The time has come when we have to realize that God hates sin, and because of His holiness, He will not tolerate or wink at it.
Like anon says, we must love God above all else and more than anyone or anything in our life.
Paul Washer is proclaiming and prophesying the truth. I have watched many of videos and some indeed are very compassionate. What can be more compassionate than telling the truth and waking up a sleeping church?

Craig, i watched this video again, and there are sound effects added when he pounds his fist on the podium. Makes it more dramatic, i guess.

Kim,
I heartily second that.
Like many people I was once there, and I can’t thank the friends enough I had that kept me pressing me to to wake up and smell the coffee, even when I would get upset at them. I don’t where I would have been otherwise. Certainly not posting on this blog! Maybe folks may quit speaking to us when we do speak the truth, even if we try to do it in love and the Bible, but in the end we have to try to reach them anyway.
And that’s not always the most pleasant of tasks.

I do agree with this minister. This is true. There is much of flash mind instead of mind of spirit in our days and preaching of letter instead preaching in power of spirit and the truth. Also missions. We have many US “missionaries” in Slovakia and surrounding countries who cost mission organizations 10-20x more expenses than to supply a local church planter. They live here common lives of average Christian or less and never planted a church or brought someone to salvation. Who is going to open eyes and tell America truth about where their money come for? I meet a local businessman who told me he was angry because a local church manipulated him to adopt US “missionary” who lived here an maximum average Christian life except that for organisation money he has beautiful family vacations in Israel calling it mission trip. He told me he himself being businessman brought many people to Christ every year and mentioned “missionary” whom he financially supported no one! Why not just to help local effective ministers, church planters to get rid of their secular jobs for less than 1/10 of expenses needed for US “missionary” who can never learn local language, never understand a local culture, has no natural links to local people and takes him just several years to became what I call good informed stranger… I know many anointed and God reefing ministers who must support their families by secular job or business, who if being supported as ordinary missionaries, they could being much more fruit – real fruit…

Yan, Thank you for the comment regarding Paul Washer. I had to look at a map to find Slovakia and I see that it is located between Poland and Hungary. I have been on the Danube and in Budapest before but could not remember the exact location of your country.
Your information is very interesting and proof that reform is needed the way people are evangelized. You are the one who are opening people’s eyes and thank you for that.

Read about the seven churches in Revelation, take note and compare your church to what it says. The Bible is really very clear about what should or shouldn’t be in a church and what to look out for.
Be careful, Satan is extremely crafty; you might think you are okay,
but not be, we can be so easily deceived.
Know the Word of God, as a whole; you must know it for yourself
and follow it carefully and that can ONLY be done through a healthy relationship with God through the blood of Jesus Christ and by the help of the Holy Spirit.
