When Janet Porter of WND decided to pick on Sarah Leslie..she did not do her homework. She has accused Sarah Leslie of Herescope of being a “cultural Nazi”. What she did not know was that Sarah was active in the Pro-life movement and President of Right to Life. In the 70’s she was in the hippie movement but the Gospel message changed her life. To this day…biblical truth is always the core issue for Herescope and Discernment-Ministries, Inc. The truth is never compromised with these ministries and I stand with them.
I met the Leslies and Jewel Grewe at a Discernment-Ministries Conference a couple of years back in Florida. The research that they have done over the years, of the occult, dominionism, theosophy and new-age infiltration of the church is truly astonishing.

From Discernment Ministries –
Dr. Orrel Steinkamp wrote a series of Herescope posts this past month which have created quite a stir.
The Coalescing of the Christian Right with Apostolic Dominionism:
It is not about FREEDOM, it is about DOMINION
The first one (title above, posted on April 8, http://herescope.blogspot.com/2010/04/coalescing-of-christian-right-with.html) described how C. Peter Wagner and his New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) “apostles” and “prophets” were mainstreaming themselves into the American political Right via a planned May Day prayer rally at the Lincoln Memorial. This event was spearheaded by a well-known radio talk show host Janet Porter, who had expressed Dominionist views “to take dominion in every area and occupy until Jesus comes.” Porter was associated with Cindy Jacobs at her “Convergence 2010: A Cry To Awaken A Nation” conference. Porter also invited Chuck Pierce, Cindy Jacobs and Dutch Sheets to pray at the May Day event, which created a firestorm of controversy.
*******
Here is an excerpt from:
A Dominion Woodstock
The “Wilderness Outcry” Joel 2 Gathering Promises To Produce the 3rd Great Awakening
!!!! Hold The Press…. Apostle Dutch Sheets Suddenly Cancels The Wilderness Outcry!!!
The American “Dominion Mandate”
Is it the Christian “mandate” to take the nation by force? Can we try to enlist and induce God to change the cultural and political scene in America? Is America in a covenantal relationship with the God of Israel just as God was bound by covenant to Israel? Can we “turn America back to its covenantal” roots as Cindy Jacobs claims?
Behind the whole understanding of the “Wilderness Outcry” (now-cancelled) event and the “Dominion Mandate” is the assumed and yet unstated premise that America is in a covenantal relationship with God. Just as Israel could expect blessings and curses, so America can assume the same. It is this assumption that gives Engle the audacity to call for a return to taking Nazirite vows. It is this assumption that lies behind the Call for a “Joel 2” assembly. It’s because of this they will blow the shofar. This all is based on the idea that America is a covenantal nation.
But before Jesus death and resurrection He established a new covenant and the Old Covenant was abrogated. According to Hebrews 8 the Old Covenant has become obsolete. For Jesus (no longer (Moses) is the mediator of a better covenant which has been enacted on better promises Hebrews 8:7-12. Consequently, all the blessings and curses which God promised for obedience and disobedience on the Old Covenant terms are no longer in force today – for America or any other national identity.
Not only is the Old Covenant obsolete but there is no longer any geographical nation in covenant relation to God. The New Covenant includes individuals—people from every nation. Gospel preaching and individual converts in all nations now bring all believers into covenant relationship to God. Peter asserts that it is the church that is the holy nation “But ye [are] a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:” (1 Peter 2:9a).
I remember when I lived in Australia. There were “prophets” forever getting prophesies that Australia was the “Great South land of the Holy Spirit,” etc. Surely Mother England could also claim some kind special status as her Christianity is centuries older than ours.
Do our national problems hinder the church from excising faith or prevent us from pursuing a relationship with God? The early church faced the law of the mighty Roman Empire, but they never exerted any energy or attention against the state other than fervent prayer.
Did they place their hope in a transformed Rome, a more righteous Galatia, a Christian Corinth? Or was their hope solely “in the grace to be revealed at the revelation (Second Coming) of Christ Jesus” (1 Peter 1:13)?

Thanks Kim for your postings.
I just wanted to comment so that you know that I am still reading your posts, but I don’t have anything to add other than surely our redemption draws close.
Each day brings us closer to our Lords return.

And we have Mike Bickle in Kansas City, deceived and also deceiving all the youth who hold him on a pedestal to believe these unscriptural beliefs.
It’s not “Think about it” to show yourself approved. Ya know?
Christian, no matter what your age, you need to quit listening to “marvelous, wonderful teachers”!, quit meditating on their fabulous books!, turn off the TV, leave the CD player off and let God speak to you through His word. People quit letting God lead them and substituted ‘teachers’ to do it for Him..

annunk,
Great comment…
It was research on IHOP and Mike Bickle that led me to study dominionism/kingdom now theology. A friend who lives close to IHOP said a couple of years ago that they were considered a cult and were basically marginalized. But when they started on godtv, I knew they were going to escalate and fast.

Yes you are correct Kim. They have escalated very fast. This blog site is doing a wonderful job and bringing the truth to the masses and I also think this site http://beyondgrace.blogspot.com/ is doing a great job and listening to the archived audio talks from IHOP and critiqueing them. He is producing some pretty good posts on the problems that are being taught at IHOP.

Yes, yes, agreed, until I read… “Not only is the Old Covenant obsolete but there is no longer any geographical nation in covenant relation to God.”
I can go outside and see the stars, so I know that there is still a Covenant with God and Israel. The Abrahamic Covenant is an everlasting one that is still in effect (Genesis 17:7; 1 Chronicles 16:17-18; Psalm 105:8-11; and Romans 9:4).

True to a point, Laura. But carefully approach… carefully examine… the NT scriptures. You’ll see that they reveal for us, for those in search of a pure understanding from God (apart from anything we may have been taught to believe) a picture of who, exactly, the LORD had in mind in the creation of His Covenant with Abraham…
And surprisingly, its FOCUS – its INTENTION, all along – was SPIRITUAL, NOT NATURAL, Israel.
From the start, the Covenant had in view, as far as God was concerned, ALL who would, over the course of time, believe God, and, eventually, His SON. God’s only-begotten beloved Son – ‘the Promise of the Father’ – is the One whom the OT scriptures had in view *from*the*start*. (Isn’t that amazing – and beautiful?!) CHRIST is the culmination of all the Father’s promises. SPIRITUAL Israel – The Israel of GOD – in CHRIST expanded to include EVERYONE from every people, tribe and nation, for all time, WHO WOULD COME TO PUT THEIR TRUST IN HIM.
So, it isn’t that the “Church” replaces “Israel” (so much confusion surrounds that misnomer); it’s that ALL who are in CHRIST, who truly believe and embrace the Lord Jesus Christ, the prophesied Savior of mankind, are those whom The Father had in mind in the Abrahamic Covenant. The Abrahamic Covenant has carried over from the OT into the NT period, accomplishing the purposes God had for it, and finding its true mark, its fullest expression, IN CHRIST, but especially, specifically, at PENTECOST, with THE BIRTH of the CHURCH (Christ now ascended and seated at the Father’s right hand) — which at first comprised BELIEVING JEWS exclusively, but in time expanded to ALL believers EVERYWHERE, regardless of nation of origin. IN CHRIST, they have become ONE. God’s people are a SPIRITUAL people — they always have been.
There are numerous NT passages that clearly lay out for us the wonder of what was created when Christ came in fulfillment of the OT promises. Out of a people separated unto GOD (the Jewish nation) came an expansion of a people separated unto GOD IN CHRIST, which included both Jewish and Gentile believers, even from OT times. Under the NT we have become one people, all who believe in Christ — from every kindred, tribe and nation; ALL who who are born again of the Spirit of God and who love and serve Christ are ONE IN HIM.
The dividing wall of separation between Jew and Gentile was forever removed IN CHRIST. And ALL who believe in Christ are HIS people, “ISRAEL”. The “Church” of the NT, that came into being on the Day of Pentecost, started with believing Israel, and has ALWAYS INCLUDED believing Israel. “The church” is not a Gentile organism. It has NEVER excluded true believing Israel; it BEGAN with her!, and the nations of the earth were blessed by her, coming into a common inheritance with her through faith in Christ. We are one people now, who together inherit the promises that God made to BELIEVING Israel.
The promises of God are FULFILLED*in*CHRIST! Our Promised Land is… CHRIST, and our future, together, with Him. That’s the majesty and the mystery of the Father’s plan from the outset. Israel’s wandering heart was known from the start; from the start the Father planned the Promise of the Savior, the Great Fulfillment of every promise ever made to Israel. But only BELIEVING Israel would inherit the promises inherent in Christ.
How I pray we would get past this notion that the church and Israel are separate competing entities. BOTH believing Jews AND Gentiles were brought TOGETHER in Christ, and BOTH comprise His Bride, and are together His Body! Truly it is wonderful, and extensive, the plan of God for the redemption of man!
(I’m listening for an “AMEN!”)
Has God been opening the eyes of anyone else here to the reality of what I’m saying? The “Church” has taken on some serious water in terms of misunderstandings and misapplications of the word of God since the time of its inception. Popular teachings have inserted themselves into the Christian framework, even in earliest of times, replacing the plain teachings of scripture. Now, when I say “plain teachings”, keep in mind I’m speaking of things made plain to those who will humble themselves in the sight of God, calling upon Him to enlighten them, to pour forth His light upon the truth of scriptures; those to whom He has given spiritual eyes and ears, i.e., the illumination of His Holy Spirit. These are the ones to whom the scriptures speak “plainly.” Those who approach the word with honest humility of heart, and a desire for greater understanding, who have come to realize they cannot rely on others to feed them (knowing the imperfections of even the best-intentioned teachers among us), those who hunger to spend time in the scriptures alone, aided by the Holy Spirit and willing to be taught of Him. This involves a willingness to be corrected in their understanding, as the Holy Spirit brings correction.
As I look around, I see evidence of God straightening out the understanding of His people. And I believe it’s because we are coming to the culmination of time, and God wants His people ready. His Bride will be without spot or wrinkle. He is seeing to it, from what I can tell. I have a feeling He’s going to be clearing up a lot of mistaken concepts His people have taken on, as the Day of Christ grows nearer.
Interpretations of end-times scriptures are a large part of what needs clearing up. The popular Left Behind series introduced serious error and compromise to the churches and has seriously misled those professing to know Christ. But God has his eye on His people; He is correcting the understanding of His people. ALL who are truly His will be brought to a correct and complete understanding of what is taking place and what is soon to take place. I am seeing signs of this already. PEOPLE OF THE WORD, who are TAUGHT of the word, will be LED of the word. The written word and the Holy Spirit are working together to teach, lead and guide God’s people safely through the end times, to the END of time, and into the glorious Presence of our Savior in the New Heavens and New Earth. What could be more comforting?
Brothers and Sisters, I know that many of you sense the times we are living in. You KNOW the blindness that you see around you today in so many who profess Christ and claim to know Him. You KNOW that something’s amiss in the camp of God’s professing family. Shouldn’t we go to the scriptures, to be washed and cleansed, and have our vision refreshed and our minds renewed and enlightened in the Holy Spirit as these days get underway, and the culmination of all things grows nearer? We’ve GOT to let the word speak to us, informing us and guiding us, and call on the Holy Spirit to illumine our hearts. We are ONE people in CHRIST – “the Israel of God” – and always have been, but especially, or particularly, since the Day of PENTECOST.
Please, look afresh at the Abrahamic Covenant in the light of the New Testament. It has found its fulfillment in Christ. ‘Natural’ Israel is not the recipient of the promises; the Israel OF GOD is. WE look for a New Heavens and a New Earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness, and ‘the Jerusalem that is ABOVE’… Christ is seated on His throne, and we are seated with Him, tucked into Him (Colossians). His sacrifice was the end of ALL sacrifice… And WE are His temple, who have trusted in Him.
See this, understand this, get this right — and the blinders fall away. The prophetic scriptures take on greater and deeper meaning, bringing us to a clearer understanding and application of end-times passages and prophesied events, and enabling us to differentiate which prophecies pertain to the past, which to the present and which to the future.
As that Great Day of our Savior’s appearing approaches, God is giving clearer and clearer light to His people, but we will not be able to receive that light if we are clinging to popular teachers whose teachings have filled the ranks of the churches, flooding them with false expectations. God the Father and Christ our Savior have hidden the truth from the masses — and that, dear Christian, includes the mass of professing Christians that overflow our churches, or what is popularly considered to be “the church”… The TRUE Church, according to Christ, consists of a very small remnant of people devoted to Him and His word. THESE are the ones to whom the Father reveals Himself; THESE are they who will be given supernatural understanding of the scriptures. The true knowledge of the scriptures will be in possession of a small representative group of sincere, humble believers, in opposition to the popular views taken by the majority of what calls itself the church nowadays.
Scripture warns us that ALL who do not receive a love of the truth will be visited with strong delusion, this includes many in the churches and LEADING the churches, who profess to know God but who turn away the truth when it conflicts with their pet doctrines and beliefs. This will be a great number of people in the so-called churches who profess to be believers. It may even include a great number of well-known and well-respected names in Christian leadership, at the rate things are going currently. Great apostasy surrounds us; this we know. Understanding is given to the few who truly seek it FROM THE LORD. Popular teachings are NOT a safe place to take refuge. Jesus spoke in parables for a reason. Only those with ‘ears to hear’ are granted insight and understanding. The prophetic scriptures make heavy use of symbolism. Should we cling to the interpretation of self-appointed experts on the subject of end-times, or might we be better served to search the scriptures for ourselves? Is the popular interpretation we find in the glut that exists of Christian publications and resources, coming from the exalted halls of institutions of higher learning and propagated in popular ministries, to be believed and trusted? Is it safe to espouse the popular teachings that have come to represent and lead the church in this age? We know that the churches and Christian organizations and ministries have, by and large, become deceived and compromised, riddled with error and ego.
All I can say is, I find a growing number of brothers and sisters in humble means and obscure locations, who, having turned aside from the popular religious bandwagons and resisting the pull of the masses professing to know and follow Christ, are quietly finding themselves in agreement with each other as they look closer and closer at end-times scriptures and consider what is taking place around them in the earth. Obscure brothers and sisters, with no horn to blow and no desire for fame, just steady and gentle, loving believers, devoted to Christ and wanting to know and follow HIM, come what may. Even if it means loss of everything precious to them in this life. THESE PEOPLE are receiving light and illumination of their understanding, and they are, little by little, finding each other and discovering that the Lord has been giving them similar understandings at odds with popular Christian beliefs concerning the end times, the rapture, Israel, and the 1000 yr reign of Christ, etc… And all of it is coming from humbly approaching the scriptures – apart from the influence of popular teachings. All of it the product of time spent alone at the Lord’s feet, searching for understanding, out of a desire to love Him and possess true knowledge and understanding of His word.
It is a curious thing… but the Lord does seem to be confirming His word to those who have separated themselves from the masses in an effort to truly follow Him.
I urge all of us to do the same.

Kim, thank you for posting that link. Replacement teaching, or replacement theology is heresy that needs to be exposed through scripture itself, because, after all, we can spiritualize anything away that doesn’t agree with our worldview, right?
Lynn, if the Lord seems to be confirming His Word to you by any other means than His Word itself – the plainly writen words on the page – you might want to question where your discernment is coming from.
