What Are We Left With?
As emergent apostate McLaren continues his satanic agenda to dismantle the Gospel, and as John Piper promotes Rick Warren, the real question emerges: “What Are We Really Left With?”
by James Jacob Prasch
First Satan raised up ecumenical deceiver Chuck Colson supported by false prophet Pat Roberstson and J. I. Packer to betray the scriptural Gospel compromising with the sacramental one of Roman Catholicism. Then Satan raised up anti-Israel preacher John Stott and Replacement Theology Restorationist Roger Forster to deny that Jesus died to save souls from a permanent conscious hell because they teach none exits. Then Satan raised up Tony Campolo and his son Bart to deny that things Scripture calls “sin” are sin, stating that portions of God’s Word with which they disagree will either be spiritualized away or ignored. Then Satan raised up Mike Bickel’s assortment of predatory perverts, drunks, homosexuals, and mystics — the Kansas City False Prophets who propagated an over-realized eschatology of Kingdom Dominion Theology fueled by failed prophetic predictions. Then Satan raised up Rick Warren to replace God’s peace plan with Rick Warren’s multi-faith one and replace the scriptural kerygma of Gospel presentation with a seeker-friendly one based on the marketing psychology of Peter Drucker, Bill Hybels, Robert Schuller, and New Age mystic Ken Blanchard. Warren’s “Purpose Driven Lie” is not built on biblical theology but on popular psychology which downplays sin. Then Satan raised up Steve Chalk to deny that Jesus died for sin because it would make God a child abuser in his view.
If this were not enough, then Satan deluded the church with counterfeit revivals in Toronto, Pensacola, and Lakeland raising up deceivers like……

This article would have more effect if the writter would not stoop to insult after insult. I just can’t take this article seriously when every other word is derogatory towards the person. Just talk about the false teaching and leave out all the charater descriptions.

Mary, I agree with you. Sadly, Jacob Prasch tends to write articles which are simply a list of those he disagrees with, followed by those he likes. Whilst many of those he condemns are deceivers, others are not. You cannot lump them all together – Piper and Stott for example are highly respected men of integrity who have faithfully ministered the gospel for decades (note that I agree with them on everything and I don’t come from the same branch of the church that they do), and to treat them in the same way as Benny Hinn and Todd Bentley is really rather shameful.

If Piper is holding hands with Rick Warren this is indeed a huge problem. I respect Stott although there is controversy on his stand against hell.

Thank you anonymous and Kim,
If Piper is holding hands with Rick Warren yes, there is a huge problem.
ButI wonder if there is a consistent pattern of false teaching from him? I cannot fathom why he would be warming up to Warren. But we shouldn’t be so quick to jump on the “he’s an apostate or heretic bandwagon”.
I do think that speaking the truth in love has so much more power than character assacination. Speaking the truth in love is something I had long forgotten, I am ashamed to say. I had to relearn the character of God-that He loves His enemies. If the body of Christ could practice it then we would have soemthing better to hold out to the stumbling christians out there and the unsaved. They need something more from us than being technically right but empty of grace. I would not lump Stott and Piper in there so quickly.

The most information on one site… is from Apprising Ministries.
The last paragraph of this article is revealing.

These are big names and people trust big names without thinking. Too many people can be mislead by John Piper’s endorsement.
Truly, there are few big names I trust anymore. But if someone puts out public teaching then they have to assume that they will be examined publically.

When you dance with Rick Warren, you dance with the devil. Weird thing is, if you listen to Warren long enough he starts to make sense. And that was Eve’s big mistake. I am very thankful to the Lord that I grew up catholic. It is way to easy to see some catholics who sound like true born again believers but then you have to go back to what they believe and wonder why the Lord would have someone stay in a system that teaches the doctrines of demons. The Lord is not the author of confusion. And I am convinced He wouldn’t call someone to stay in the system. Which brings us back to Rick Warren and John Piper. I think John Piper is being terribly nieve. He ‘s being deceived and we need to pray for him. Not call him names and throw stones.

However, having said that I have yet to watch the videos of John Piper endorsing Rick Warren. I don’t want to loose my lunch!

Look folks,
If you do a search on Richard Abanes you will probably find some articles, sermons, and the like that will support RW as an orthodox believer. Mr. Abanes has been known to be RW’s apologetics man, even though he will probably deny it.
I know he led me to them but I got to tell you that the proof is in the pudding. It is the bones that we are to spit out of the meat we are to chew. It is the babyless bath water…..
Too much time has gone by and too many have proven the false of the doctrine that RW teaches. It is a form of Pelagiasm (semi) and it is not the gospel of Jesus Christ.
I guess that somewhere in the conversations between John Piper and Rick Warren, RW must have been just too convincing. Truth is, RW does know the truth, he just has decided to do it his man-made-vain-imagination-way rather than Gods way and in the end, he as the rest of us get to stand before the Lord.
God help us all…

Robert Schuller and Rick Warren will always be remembered for the gospel they didnt preach….In terms of deception, modern heresies and urban myths we still haven’t seen the last of purveyors of false gospels. As long as people are ready to eliminate sin, righteousness and judgement from their messages or salvation story we will always have a long list of substitutes. The result of these easy substitiutes leads to frustruation, embarrassment and shipwreck. (See article “The emperor steps out in his clothes..again” http://wp.me/pEVJ0-jL )

Acidri,
You are right, we haven’t seen the last of purveyors of false gospels. In fact, we can expect even more deception.
One must see the “self-esteem” pic on your article, “The emperor…”
Self-Esteem…..we are told that we lack it….but in reality, the truth is that we value ourselves very much…so much that we cannot deny ourselves and pick up the cross of Jesus Christ.
