Hi Kim,
This is the first time I have ever heard of GCA. So convicting. Are their any GCA churches in the US?

I think these small biblical churches are the way to go if you can find one.

I so agree, Kim.
We have been very fortunate to find such a small biblical church, where Jesus and the Word are the center, not all the other stuff so many churches are getting into nowadays.
It took a long time but the wait was so worth it.
So, I’d encourage folks to keep praying about finding a church that is more interested in glorifying God than themselves. We kept praying and having faith to find one which offered both sound teaching and also practiced what they preached, and God honored that.
Hearing the word preached straight from the Bible this year has been so enriching for us, as has being around folks who are so loving and willing to pitch in and help anyone in the congregation that needs it.

Hi mbaker…
I have missed you and your keen insights.
It seems that there are small pockets of true believers, and some of the larger ministries still teach the Word but many have succumbed to a social, feel-good, what’s in it for me? gospel.
I am glad you found a church that is enriching you. I attend two churches. One is wonderful for worship, because we still sing the hymns, and many of the founding charter members believe the truth, ( Jesus is the only way) but there are new-agers as new members bringing in heresy, (“We have our truth, our faith, but the Muslims have their truth, their faith”) I stay only to speak the truth, so I am not well-liked by some, er..many. I only want to please Jesus …not men. The other church teaches a strong biblical convicting message right from the scripture, verse-by-verse, chapter by chapter, book by book. It is a Baptist conservative Bible church.
